History
Cohiba was founded in Cuba in 1966 at the order of Fidel Castro. The name of the brand comes from a local language in Cuba, Taino. The name means tobacco in this dialect and it was shows the history and legacy of the brand. The tobacco used comes from the Vuelta Abajo region, an area famous for the rich soil and perfect humidity that is ideal for tobacco. The exterior of the cigar shows the premium work of the El Laguito factory and the strength is medium to full. The Habanos SA owned cigar brand has a wide range of notes, making it a very versatile choice. These cigars have been a favorite of Fidel Castro and they were used as diplomatic gifts.
